Soft Tissue Therapy Techniques

Following an initial consultation and discussion, I will determine which methods of soft tissue therapy will be most suitable for your condition.

For Sports Massage appointments, you may request a specific type of treatment to be included e.g. Cupping Therapy/Dry Needling, however for Injury and Pain Therapy appointments some techniques may not be suitable.

Sports Massage

Sports massage helps to keep muscles supple and joints mobile. This in turn can improve posture, flexibility and sporting performance.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy is used to encourage oxygen and blood flow into the muscles which reduces tension in the muscles and promotes healing in damaged tissues.

Dry Needling

Dry needling involves the insertion of fine/acupuncture needles into the skin/muscle to target myofascial trigger points.

Joint Mobilisations

Joint mobilisations are an advanced technique used to decrease pain or increase joint mobility.

Muscle Energy Techniques

Muscle energy techniques (METs) are a form of manual therapy used to relax muscles via gentle contractions.

Electrotherapy will be used alongside exercise therapy to decrease pain and restore normal joint/ muscle function.
